Site of the hotel:

Vastu for hotel pays special heed on the shape and size of plot or land. The plot chosen for setting up of hotel must be in regular shapes such as rectangular and square. Shermukhi or a lion-faced plot that is broader at the front portion and narrower at the back are considered very suitable for the establishment of hotels. Shapes like a hexagon, triangular or oval should be avoided to gain profit. 

Location of hotel:

Hotel location should have at least two or more roads especially on the North or Eastside. One should never buy a hotel plot near a burial ground or a crematorium. The plot should not be located very near to the hospital, temple, etc. Leave the portion of North and East open while constructing hotel.

The entrance of the hotel:  

The main entrance of the hotels should be bigger than other doors, and should be properly illuminated with an inviting look for the visitors. Northeast direction is the best for the construction of the main gate of a hotel.

T.V. and Telephone should be on the right and left side of the bed. Attached toilets must be constructed in the North-west or West, South or in South-west corners only.  The balcony of hotel rooms should be in the Eastern or Northern direction.

Location of Pantry:

Pantry or kitchen should always be in South-east direction and at the ground floor only.

Placement of electrical equipment:

Geysers, meters, Genset, furnace, burner (Chulha), electric transformer, gas rooms should be in the south-east portion.

Location of the Swimming pool and water tanks:

North-east direction is considered favorable for the construction of the Swimming pool, underground water tank, wells, bore-well etc. However overhead water tanks should always be in the southwest
